Judges 18-19 Reflection:
During a time there was no king to rule over Israel, the tribe of Dan sought to possess their own land. Remember the tribe of Dan's blessing. Dan was a tribe guilty of idolatry and referred to as a serpent, one that bites the heels of riders to cause them to tumble. They scouted for land and searched and found "household gods" and took them for themselves. They saw that the land had no lack for anything and no longer relied on God alone to provide, they turned to other idols and God is a jealous God.
