1 Samuel 25-26 Reflection:

Samuel has passed on, and now David is the prince of his heritage, which means God has anointed him as King. Already King David is a merciful king and although he has spared others, the Lord, King of Kings deals with his enemy harshly not mercifully striking them down as He sees fit. Vengeance is mine saith the Lord. We don't have to do anything in avenging others, the Lord will handle those wrongdoers in accordance with His will not by ours. Meanwhile Saul is still relentlessly in pursuit of David. But David knew the Lord will handle him, it was not for him to touch God's anointed. Saul saw that David would not harm him and I imagine this humbled him and reminded him that he would be going against the Lord's anointed as well which would bring the Lord's wrath upon him.

Hard topic in new testament today. It seems that the people who are apart from God will cry out to warn the living but they won't be heard. I feel like this is a pre example of how hard hearts were even after Jesus died and rose. They either heard or didn't just as Abraham said to the rich man suffering. Don't be to proud in your blessings you forget the words of the lord. Don't think you can frolic in your blessings with greed and be shown different then you've shown others. We are to share our blessings and abundance. It is not just for us to enjoy infront of others but to spread with the word and love of god.
